The Big Move

For the first time since our family was established (all of 4 years ago) we made the life-changing decision to pack up everything we owned, switch jobs, change cities and move on.

Not an easy decision, not an easy change.

We have been surrounded by this:

We have been exploring this:

This has been covered by inches of snow on and off since we arrived (thanks to a series of unusual spring storms):

We hit the beginnings of this and then successfully got the moving truck unpacked before it hit hard here:

Despite the fact that we talk A LOT about getting outside here on the blog, this is the very first time we have had green grass and a fenced back yard.  It is the first time there is hope for a successful garden (if we can keep the elk and deer away!)  The kids are overjoyed and Mama is looking forward to lots of time spent outdoors without worrying about kids running into the street.

We have taken breaks from the boxes over the past few days to explore on our bikes.  We have tested nearly all the restaurants (which so far we have been super impressed with) and are now thankful to have some home-cooked meals in a (mostly) organized kitchen.

We are working on finding the tricks to get past finicky internet service and holding our cell phones up in the air to get better reception.

We are living across the river from Yellowstone National Park (and soon will live on the other side of the river....but are not thinking about packing again yet.....;))

We are tired.  We are adventuring.  We are blessed.  Please bear with us for a few days as we get our family settled :)
